ご挨拶

当科は消化器内科（消化管）から分離・独立する形で、2024年4月に新設されました。消化管（食道・胃・十二指腸・大腸）の内視鏡検査（胃カメラ・大腸カメラ）および内視鏡治療（ESDなど）を中心に診療を行っています。内視鏡切除の対象となる早期がんはもちろん、手術か内視鏡切除か判断が難しい病変、まだがんの確定診断がついていない病変など、広くお引き受けいたします。もし内視鏡検査・治療でお困りのことがありましたら、お気軽に当科までご相談ください。

診療科の特色

がんは早期に発見され、早期に切除できれば根治が望めます。その中でもとくに内視鏡切除は食道や胃や大腸などの臓器機能を失うことなく、病変部周囲のみを切除することが可能であり、身体にかかる負担も少なく、術後は以前と変わらない生活が可能です。

当科はESDなどの内視鏡治療において数多くの件数を手掛けており、これまでハイボリュームセンターと呼ばれる先進施設で非常に多くの治療を行ってきた経験豊富なスタッフが、安心安全な内視鏡診療を提供します。他院では治療が難しいと判断された高難度病変にも積極的に対応しています。

なお、治療方針に関しては、消化器内科（消化管）、消化器外科（胃食道外科、大腸外科）、放射線治療科などとともにキャンサーボードと呼ばれる会議で全患者さんの方針を相談のうえ決定していますのでご安心ください。

他院で内視鏡切除が困難と判断された場合や、他の治療法を提示された場合などに内視鏡切除適応に関するセカンドオピニオンも常時受け付けておりますので、いつでもご相談ください。

・胃がん/腺腫

・十二指腸腫瘍（がん/腺腫）　乳頭部腫瘍をのぞく

・大腸がん/腺腫

海外からの研修生向け / For International Trainees

1) Endoscopy training in Kanagawa Cancer Center

Our hospital is located in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, the second most populous area in Japan. It is just a short 10-minute train ride from the heart of Yokohama, and offers easy access to Tokyo as well, making it an ideal location for both local and international professionals. Our hospital specializes in cancer care, with a strong focus on the diagnosis and endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, including esophageal, gastric, duodenal, and colorectal cancers. The facility is modern, clean, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, while our friendly and supportive staff create a welcoming atmosphere for trainees.

One of the unique features of our hospital is the high volume of gastrointestinal cancer cases we handle, with nearly two endoscopic submucosal dissections (ESD) performed daily. This provides trainees with ample opportunities to develop advanced endoscopic skills. In addition, we offer training in screening endoscopy, giving trainees comprehensive exposure to both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

Our endoscopic conferences are conducted in English, allowing trainees to engage in discussions with international experts and gain a broader perspective on current global practices. Our trainers are highly experienced and actively participate in international workshops and hands-on training, ensuring that trainees receive cutting-edge knowledge and techniques.

The training period is flexible, ranging from as short as one day to up to one year, depending on the needs of the trainee. Additionally, trainees have the option to observe ERCP, EUS-FNA, and even surgical procedures, should they wish to expand their learning further.
